The Ready Freddies are Chicagoland’s longest-running Queen tribute, returning to the iconic Fitzgerald’s for the third time in a free (with voluntary cover), all-ages patio show.

Formed in 2014, this seven-piece band - six women and one man - recreates Queen’s complex classically-rooted rock 'n' roll close to the record, with no shortcuts. That means organic harmony breakdowns on “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Bicycle Race,” and more, performed fully live in ways that even Queen did not attempt onstage.

The lineup includes Carolyn Engelmann (The Chamber Strings, Sons of the Silent Age), Robert Byrne (Dovetail Joint, Sons of the Silent Age), Liz Ele (The Claudettes, The Gingers), Emi Fukuda (The Gingers, Breaking the Girl), Christine Chung (Little Red and the Hoods), supported by talented backing vocalists Rose Perez and Sarah Ma.

Sing along, dance, clap, stomp, and help make the show as big, loud, and joyful as Freddie Mercury would intend.
