Dave Kay and the Mal Vivants will be playing songs from their next cd “Shadowboxing” Friday March 20 at 8:30 pm at FitzGerald's Sidebar.

The Mal Vivants feature a cast of Chicago musicians including Dave Kay, Jon Paul and Curt Morrison (Tributosaurus), Dave Bernat, Kim Frost and Gk Kay.

Featuring a contemporary amalgam of musical influences ranging from rock to folk, from Louisiana R&B to classic soul—the Mal Vivants' music might be best described as Americana made from a fresh recipe. The Mal Vivants have been known to devolve into novelty on occasion.
