Join us for an evening of West Coast Cool Jazz! Enjoy music by Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, Dave Brubeck, and other cool jazz artists and chamber groups like the Modern Jazz Quartet.
JERU, modeled after the Gerry Mulligan “pianoless” or chordless quartets of the 1950s, takes its name from from a nickname used by Miles Davis for Gerry Mulligan. The group not only pays homage to Mulligan and other great writers/performers, but adds new arrangements and compositions to explore a somewhat under-utilized format, the chordless ensemble.
