Tomita is a Brazilian-American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and performer involved in numerous multi-genre collaborations. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French and has a conservatory background studying music theory, jazz, and classical guitar. He has also studied West African djembe music and is a teaching artist in Chicago Public Schools.
