A ONE OF A KIND BOOK LAUNCH. TICKET PURCHASE INCLUDES A COPY OF THE BOOK
At this one-of-a-kind event, local author Maui Jones will read his new children's book 'Hi, I’m Ella!', we will also have musical performances (including the original song 'Ella!' and Keep Your Light Shining Bright by local musician Cheryl Tomblin), and a special visit from Ella herself!. followed by a book signing! This event is perfect for all kids, but littles ages 3 to 8 will particularly love this original experience!
Schedule of Events:
12-1pm - Doors open! Community hangout!
1-2pm - Hi, I’m Ella Reading and Show
2-4pm - Book signing! More community hangout!
Other perks include coloring pages and an Ella Scavenger Hunt will be available on-site, as well as paint your own cookie kits from Mama Kat’s Bakery!
NOTE: If you did not get into the event as a Kickstarter perk, your ticket at the door for entry includes a Copy of 'Hi, I’m Ella!'. Additional copies will also be available for purchase, as well as 'Ella and Friends' stickers, and lesson plans that revolve around the book.
About “Hi, I’m Ella!”: Hi, I’m Ella! Is an introductory story into the world of Everyday With Ella. Children ages 3-7 are invited to meet Ella and her friends! Along the way they will dialogue around culture, learn about the different ways we say hello, have conversations about gender neutral introductions, empathy, accessibility and of course BLACK JOY!
