Ana Everling
Ana Everling is a musician born in the Republic of Moldova who is known for her multilingual and stylistic singing versatility. She became part of the Chicago Jazz scene in 2015, appearing in various projects, ranging from Jazz, Latin American, Folk, Balkan, to Pop and Electronic music.
Her diverse vocal work can be heard in groups like Ode, Beats y Bateria, Amada, Alfonso Ponticelli & Swing Gitan, La Peña Orchestra.
Her album, “Soleira”, recorded with guitarist Carolina Folmer, combines songs from Spain, Brazil and Argentina, arranged for voice and classical guitar.
In 2019 Ana founded Taraf de Chicago - a small ensemble small folk (lăutărească) music ensemble, and debuted the project at the Chicago World Music Festival with a repertoire of old Moldovan peasant songs, her dramatic Eastern European expression style adding even more novelty to Chicago’s diverse music community.
