Terry White CD Release, plus Cannonball & Friends and Elisa Grace
Terry White has been playing guitar since he was a kid and has played in several successful rock bands, including area favorites The Yellowhammers and Cannonball. As a member of several bands, he had been writing songs that were often sung by bandmates in his other groups, Modern Day Saints and Yellowhammers. In 2007, he released his first solo record, Our Separate Ways, giving Terry his own voice.
At this show, Terry will be ably backed by Cannonball, a band which came together more or less by accident. White and Andon Davis began playing a residency at FitzGerald’s Nightclub in Berwyn IL with some friends in 2009; the intent was to enjoy playing away from their regular bands and enjoy collaborating with other musicians. Over time, Cannonball's lineup was solidified with Tom Kneesel (pedal steel), Mike Kraniak (bass) and Paul Bivans (drums). Their FitzGerald's residency is now in its fourth year.
"Cannonball Fodder" is his latest collection of songs. Cannonball had been playing some of the new songs live, hence the album title. The record is produced by Jon Langford (Mekons, Waco Bros, Skull Orchard). http://fodder.terrywhitemusic.com
Elisa Grace is an American singer-songwriter whose debut, self-titled album was recently released- the soulful record has Country, R&B, and Gospel influences, coupled with strong pop melodies and a Classic Rock foundation that lend to her unique Pop/Alternative-Country sound. The LP was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Jamie Candiloro (R.E.M/Willie Nelson/The Eagles/Courtney Love/Ryan Adams), and features Marty Rifkin (Bruce Springsteen/Tom Petty/Jewel) on pedal steel, Ben Peeler (Shakira/The Wallflowers/Josh Kelley) on dobro, Lisa Germano (John Mellencamp/Simple Minds/Sheryl Crow) on violin, with Jamie Candiloro and Elisa Grace on all other instruments and voices. http://www.elisagrace.com
