OPRF to Ireland Fundraiser

Thu, Mar 14 2019, 7:00pm - $20

Every other summer, twenty or so OPRFHS students go to Ireland. For a week, they study the Irish author James Joyce in the building where Joyce attended university. For another week, we hike through the sublime Irish countryside. This school trip is an extraordinary opportunity for our students. We are the only high school in the world invited to participate in the prestigious James Joyce summer school. The trip, from the moment students step off the plane, is a transformative experience for our students. However, as you can imagine, the cost of the trip is difficult to meet for every family. Please join us as we raise money for our students. Come out to Fitzgerald’s on Thursday, March 14th, to get St. Patrick’s weekend started on the right foot with the music of Jimmy Keane, one of the finest Irish accordion players in the world. In addition to Jimmy Keane’s great music, we will also have an exciting silent auction and raffle. Tickets are $20.  We’ll have a few light snacks. Cash bar. If you can’t make it but would like to donate, please visit the following link: https://oprfhs.revtrak.net/Trips-Abroad/Trip-Abroad-Ireland/#/v/Trip-Abroad-Mr-Lees-Ireland-Trip-2019-Donation
