Lovehouse (SideBar Music Room)
Doors open at 8 pm.
Formed decades ago in Chicago, Lovehouse remains one of the region’s most versatile and enduring purveyors of cover tunes by rock, blues and pop artists spanning the 1960s to today. The quintet has performed at receptions held on grand stages, in clubs across the region and at leading community and neighborhood festivals. Sets vary and include songs originated by music titans like Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, the Who and Tom Petty, but also include chestnuts from Steve Earle, the Jayhawks, John Hiatt and the Gin Blossoms. Dedication to craft and passion for the heart of rock and roll drive Lovehouse performances, leading to the band’s moniker as “Chicago’s Most Original Cover Band.”
The band is comprised of:
Doug James, vocals, keyboards and traps. A former major-market DJ, Doug forged a second career as an actor, voice-over talent and emcee.
Phil Smith, vocals and bass. Phil has spent some four decades in the advertising industry as a producer and director for a wide range of consumer and B2B clients.
Roy Millonzi, vocals and guitar. Roy has carved a successful career in the video industry, where he markets feature films to leading retailers.
Bill Ozanic, drums. Bill’s steady drum beats is mirrored by his skills with numbers. He’s spent more than 25 years in the banking industry.
Edward Bury, vocals, guitar and harmonica. A modern communicator, Edward has led strategic public relations and marketing programs in the real estate and transportation industries.
